Hemingway and Butcher met whilst playing in Georg Gräwe's GrubenKlang Orchester on a 1993 Canadian tour. In Vancouver they also played in quartet, but it was another seven years before a taste for smaller groups led to them forming a duo.

Most recently they have met for festival appearances in France, Portugal, Finland and Austria.

Oriented more towards abstract, even subliminal gestures than to Grand Events, these two create music that burns with inner fire.
